Take-your-Benton-to-work Day
Not motivated enough, apparently
Most of our office at TCW had planned to attend the Get Motivated seminar today. Misty, Lori, Lori's parents, and I met up at 7:15am and headed to the baseball fields, waited 30 minutes for the shuttle, and made it to the front doors of the Intrust Arena just as they locked the doors. So many people had to be turned away because it was overfull. :( After waiting around hoping they would let us in (we had other TCW people saving us seats), we discovered there was no way we were going to see the seminar.
The party busses were shuttling people, and we decided to make the most of it and pose!

Gluten-Free Heaven
Then, Kevin decided where we went to eat for lunch on Saturday, but he wouldn't tell me where we were going. I was at a complete loss when I found us on S. Webb. I was so excited that Kevin found a gluten-free pizza place in Wichita, Wichita Pizza Company. DELICIOUS!
I couldn't decide what to pick, so I got half Hawaiian and half meat lovers. Kevin ordered a calzone, so I have a lot of leftovers! It was SO GOOD! I am so lucky that Kevin keeps an eye out for these things, even though he doesn't have to for himself.

It only needs an umbrella...
Am I torturing myself thinking already of our November vacation? Likely. Am I wasting calories on a vitamin beverage that makes me excited for said vacation? Absolutely. Did I actually consider purchasing drink umbrellas when I bought said beverage? Maybe... :)

4th Celebration
Kevin and I had a great time with Britt and Ben on July 3rd to celebrate the 4th. A few fireworks and barbeque made a great evening!
Sorry, B2, I didn't get any pics of both of you :( This will have to do.
Beach in a jar
I am fortunate (or unfortunate, depends on how you look at it) that my office is merely moments away from a Hallmark that is closing. I am sad to see them go, but I am loving the 75% off savings! My favorite purchase?
I may not actually burn this candle because I love opening it and smelling the coconuty-sunblocky-sandy smell when I am needing motivation/relaxation. It may just make it harder (if that is possible) to wait for November's vacay!

Jamaica - here we come!
Kevin and I are celebrating our five year (dating) anniversary November 25 - December 2 at Couples Sans Souci Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica!
This vacation was a long time coming - we first were going to go on a tropical vacation for our one year anniversary, but I had not been at the library long enough for vacation time. :( We made the best of it by going to St. Louis for a week where Kevin had a conference. We then thought we would go for our second anniversary, but we decided November made more sense (graduation time for me is insane at my job). So, the reason we are going in November/December isn't because of our dating anniversary (as Kevin would like to point out), but I love an excuse to celebrate any anniversary!

Random Manhattan Post
A couple of weekends ago, I visited my sister in Manhattan. We had a blast shopping, and I couldn't believe how much Manhattan has changed since Kevin and I lived there. I found this glass at Acme Gift (I miss that store so much, especially their flowers!), and I thought it was a fun way to reminisce.
No worries, though, Wichita friends, we are here to stay!
